Same jaw, three ways to end up

All three add up each step other patients paid near you. Offices often quote one bundled fee; ask how yours is billed. Tap one to start with it.
The look-around
Day 1 · about an hour
An exam and a 3D scan of your jaw. This is where the office sees how much bone there is and draws the plan. You'll leave knowing which road you're on.
Getting you ready
Days 2–14 · short visits
Blood work if your dentist asks for it, impressions, and the surgical guide is made. If teeth are coming out first, that may happen here, sometimes with small bone grafts in the empty sockets.
The big one
Surgery day · one long visit
Numbing, or IV sedation if that's your plan. The posts go into the jaw in one sitting; most people are back to normal the next day.
Soft food and patience
Weeks 1–2 · at home
Gums close over. Soup, eggs, pasta. This part is boring on purpose: under the surface the bone is starting to grip the posts. A quick check visit at the end of it.
The bone locks in
Months 3–4
The jaw finishes fusing to the posts. Dentists call it osseointegration; it just means the posts are now part of you. An X-ray confirms it, and molds are taken for the final teeth.
Your final teeth
Months 4–6 · the good day
The bridge is fitted across the posts, the bite is checked, and you eat whatever you like. After that it's a once-a-year check, like any teeth.
