One question worth asking
How long after this before the denture is made?
Surgery to prepare the jaw for dentures
Before a denture is made, an uneven or sharp bony ridge may be smoothed, or the fold between cheek and gum deepened, so the denture sits evenly and stays in place.
Sharp or uneven ridge bone is smoothed and the gum is stitched over it so a denture can rest without rocking or rubbing. One version deepens the fold between cheek and gum so the edge of the denture has something to sit against. Healing comes first, then the denture is made or relined to the new shape.
