One question worth asking

How long is this tooth expected to stay before it comes out on its own?

D2929. A white zirconia crown for a baby tooth, chosen for looks on front teeth.

Prefabricated crowns come in standard sizes and are fitted in one visit. Stainless steel crowns are the usual choice for a baby tooth with a large cavity; tooth-colored versions exist for front teeth. An adult tooth can get one as a temporary or budget option.

The cap comes ready-made in standard sizes, so the tooth is shaped, a size is trimmed to fit, and it is cemented in the same visit. On a baby tooth it stays until that tooth comes out on its own. Tooth-colored versions exist for front baby teeth and are usually treated as upgrades. Most plans file this as Basic. What they actually pay varies by plan.
