One question worth asking

How often do the snap parts need replacing?

Partial denture snapped onto implants, upper

DenturesUpgradeD6112

D6112. A partial upper denture held by implants. Some plans call this an optional service or an alternate benefit. The plan pays what the standard version costs. You pay the difference.

A denture that snaps onto two or more implants, or sits over remaining tooth roots, so it stays put much better than a regular denture. Codes cover the denture itself and replacing the small snap parts that wear out.

Two or more implants go into the jaw and the denture clicks onto them, so it stays put while eating and still lifts out for cleaning. A similar design sits over the roots of a few kept teeth instead of implants. The small snap parts wear down with use and have their own replacement codes. Most plans file this as Major. What they actually pay varies by plan.
